Zool Suleman, the founder of Suleman & Co., is a graduate of Dalhousie Law School (1989) and served as a Law Clerk at the Federal Court of Canada (Appeal Division) in 1990-91. He articled with a national law firm before establishing his own firm (1992).
Mr. Suleman is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers' Association. He has extensive experience in Canadian immigration law matters and restricts his practice to this area of law.
He has organized seminars, made presentations, and published papers on various immigration topics for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association (at the National and the Regional level), Amnesty International, Insight Seminars, and the American Immigration Lawyers' Association (at the National level). He has also presented talks on immigration and social justice issues at the University of British Columbia Law School and at the University of Windsor Department of Communications.
Mr. Suleman is often called upon to comment on Canadian Immigration topics and has done so for regional, national and international media outlets.
In addition to his immigration interests, Mr. Suleman has been active in supporting and arts and multicultural activities. He has served on the Boards of several arts organizations and from 1991-1996 was the Editor of the arts journal - Rungh (www.rungh.org). He is a founding member and Director of the MARU Society (www.maruworld.org [1]) and is a member of the research team at MARU's stop racial profiling project (www.stopracialprofiling.ca [2]).

Tim Bailey
Tim Bailey, the Paralegal at Suleman & Company, obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2002, where he focused on public and administrative law, and human rights. While completing his studies, Tim was extensively involved in the Legal Information Clinic; was president of the Students of Law Involved in the Community/Publicly Active Law Students group; and editor of the student newsletter Carpe Diem. Upon his graduation, the faculty and students awarded Tim the Diana Priestly Award for his outstanding commitment to these community activities.
After graduation he worked as a legal advocate with Together Against Poverty Society in Victoria, BC, and also as an Auxiliary Research and Mediation Officer with the BC Environmental and Forest Appeal Boards. During this time he continued his community work as president of the Vancouver Island Human Rights Coalition.
Rahman Sadeed
Rahman Sadeed is a Legal Assistant at Suleman & Co. He assists clients in the Farsi, Dari and Urdu languages. He is a graduate of the Vancouver Community College Office Assistant Program and has worked/volunteered with a variety of immigrant and refugee organizations in Canada and abroad over the past years. Mr. Sadeed has many creative interests such as poetry/calligraphy and an interest in sports such as soccer.
